No picture but there's an 88 around the corner with a broken windshield, bald tires, missing bumbers, bad paint. All it has is no no-brand lift. He wants $4500. I feel bad that I gave him the Jeep-wave once.

It's nice, but not 11,500 nice, but I've never heard of an Unlimited so it must be super special. And there's some oddities/retardation in his ad. Read the 'vehicle info' stuff; Cylinders-3 Type-bus....?!? Under stuff he added is pwr windows, doors and locks...? Maybe most odd is that it's registered and advertised in Texas and was California emissions tested, and there's other odd stuff.

This has already ruined my July 4. Back in 2013, I paid $4,900 for basically the same truck at a dealer: stock 4dr 5sp 4x4 129k. Back then, I knew I paid too much but wanted the combo.
I'm hunting again for the same combo and found this one. I want it but do not understand how anyone, dealer or not, can justify a $3k price increase based essentially on the concept of time. There is zero way they need to sell it for that much to make a profit. I have the cash to buy it and I want it desperately, but I cannot find the justification.

So here I am, regretting selling my ideal XJ, albeit heavily modified, with 173k and with god knows how much worth in high-quality aftermarket parts for $3200. I did that because I'm a rational person. I guess I could have asked $8k for it, but I didn't.

I believe you are correct about the dealer. I see vehicles they post on craigslist from time to time and they always seem a bit overpriced.

Ha, well that's actually good to know. Would you mind checking it out for me? If it's rust free and in good nick, I'd make them a realistic cash offer.
