Even the hood insulation looks brand new. This might be one of those few XJs that deserves a premium.

 

Just imagine the size of the alternator on that beast.

 

Mine was absolutely that clean and it was built and I never would have asked for that price.

No base model XJ with 124,000 miles is worth anywhere near that price.

 

Prices in my area have gone up a lot for 97-01. Most are over 200k miles and in the $3500-5000 range.

Low mileage ones are $7000-10,000. Low mileage ones are usually at dealers.

Anything $2000 and under is salvaged title , not running , or beat...

Hahaha. I saw so many over 5k with over 200k on the odo when I was looking for a new one, half of them had no rockers left too
Just gotta be patient! Sold my stocky black xj for 2800 and picked up this pretty gal for 17. Everything solid, only surface rust which I already sanded off. Was pissing gas and power steering fluid, ended up getting about 100 bucks worth of parts to fix her up. 20yo non mechanically inclined kids loss was my gain
