Right before posting this I texted him and asked if I brought an ECM would it start & drive; no response, no surprise. There are some crazy people, but 30k for a non-running XJ, wow. I have to assume it's F'd up, no sane person would try to sell a top dollar vehicle that's not running due to a $100 part. But there's a fool born every day and apparently he's banking on that. Further backed by him saying it's a common failure part.

Three pics of the left side and no details, idiot. When I see only one pic of something I'm a bit suspicious, but some people are just lazy. When there's multiple pics omitting any area and few details I'm doubly suspicious.

 

When I see posts like that I often think theyre the result of a fight with the missus, resulting in "Fine. I'll put it on Craigslist tomorrow!"
