Default Neon injectors?

So I see stuff about people getting rebuilt "neon" injectors. What are they I can't really find out? Are they from the DODGE NEON? If so are there only certain years that will fit directly to my xj (I have a 98)?

I looked into this a LONG time ago and decided to stay with stock injectors. I believe since your jeep is 98 you can use 703s.

Just out of curiosity what made you decide to keep the stock ones.

When did things change between 98-99? In some other places I've seen reference to 99 w/ 0331 head, coil packs, etc but mine doesnt have these things. Dunno if this is related as far as determining which part numbers.

Also, what about injectors from a Libby? https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/10-...bility-108854/

Im lookin into doing this as part of my maintenance overhaul.

Just clean the injectors and keep them if you like them before messing around with used/jy/rebuilt. I think clean injectors are where most of the folks are getting the better running/more mpg. I used a 3M kit on mine and it runs great with the stock injectors, but in hindsight the seafoam fuel system cleaners probably do just as good of job and are cheaper.
