Hi All,

I have a few sets of used Bosch Injectors out a 3.7 liter Jeep Liberty. These are the latest style EV14 with 4 spray holes and far superior fuel atomization. They are rated at 20 lb/hr which is more in line with the stock 4.0 liter injectors than the 703/784 injectors. The dynamic flow rate is also closer to stock as well. I have been running a set of these on my 1990 for the last 3500 miles with great results. My gas mileage has gone up by 10%, and drivability is fantastic. I can shift through all five gears on level ground without touching the gas. No bucking, no stumbling, rolling through the neighborhood at 25 MPH in fifth gear at 750 RPM idle. I did not even need to reset the ECU since they are so close of a flow match. For details see the attached thread:

These injectors are a drop in for 1999 and later, and can be run in a 1998 and earlier if you change out the injector plugs. I am asking $100/set of 6 with new o-rings shipping via USPS included to the lower 48 US states. Location: Summerville, SC

looks really interesting, seeing how they are more efficient...dont think i would havea prob with smog here in cal?

I would think that the emmisions would be lower as well. I do not have any data to back this statement up. The spray of the injectors is finer and the droplet size smaller. Based on how mine runs and the mpg improvemnt, it must be burning the fuel more effectively.

effectivly may be "leaner"...in turn maybe rasing my "NOX"?just wondering. could be worth it either way..think my injectors could use some love.

To add to the smog issue! My 88 xj failed horribly..I went through, fixed the few issues she had, tossed in some fresh 703's & I can tell a considerable difference in driveablity.
I have a 5 speed and I think the difference is more noticable with a 5 speed, but either way its worth it!

My jeep passed smog..and honestly I can't believe how well! I was allowed 714 Nox at 15mph and I got .01 & 6xx at 25mph and I got .02. Everything was unbelievably low its was crazy!
The tech goes, jesus this thing is cleaner than the 99% of the newer cars that come through here.

My vote goes to getting them, techs won't know the difference in the appearence of them! And I also believe they will promote cleaner emmisions, because the fuel is atomizing better!

so these run leaner then stock or just a tad richer???

They run a bit richer than stock used ones and about 10% leaner than 703/784 at full load (static flow).

The main benefits comes from the better fuel atomization and lower dynamic flow (how much the injector can put out in one pulse (2.5 milliseconds I beleive)). These two allow the ECU to more accurately meter the fuel and the engine to burn it more completely.

If you are running a stock setup, these work well. If you are pumping more air through with headers, CAI, bored TB, cam, ported head... then the 703/784 would probably be a better injector so that you have enough fuel at high RPM and high load to avoid a lean condition.

See the link at the top of this thread. Post # 34 on the bottom has a link to a set of adapters on ebay for $25. I spliced mine before I found the adapters.

Sorry, no. You would have to have the adapters or splice in a set of USCAR connectors from a donor car.

I just saw this thread and am about to look into all the stats but just had one quick question. Did you actually run a set of cleaned/rebuilt 703's in your 90' XJ first to do a MPG comparrison to these or is the MPG increase over your stock 21 year old injectors?

This is the increase over "stock" injectors out of a 1996. My originals were leaking gas through the plastic to metal interface on the injectors. That is why I now have a fire extinquisher mounted next to the driver's seat.


I purchased two sets /6 of the 703 injectors along with a couple of the 021s and then flow tested them. I found the 703s to flow a bit higher than stock and the 021s to be more in line with the stock. This allowed me to use the 021s without an ECU reset. Plus the 021s are a generation newer EV14 vs EV6 and came off of a newer vehicle.

I'll post up the measurement data later as well as the specs.
