Engine: 4.0L
OK, many of you spoke up on your experience with MMO. So I put a half quart into the crankcase based on what your experience was.
Here is what happened:
The "diesel engine clatter" sound went away.
The weird "loose pulley" (not belt screech) sound after cold start went away. (there was never a loose pulley. Just the best way to describe that sound).
The stuck lifter on cold or hot restart went away.
The idle tick went away.
Fuel economy jumped to 38 mpg. (just kidding. I don't work for Volkswagen)
Presumably the results of using MMO for 800 miles. Maybe another light oil would generate similar results. Don't know.
But this is my story for what it is worth. Thanks for the input.
