Default Weird pounding noise when in 4lo

I went offroading a couple of days ago.
I got stuck while in 2wd so I switched to 4lo.
It started making this weird sound (dub dub dub)
and this only happened while in 4lo and going uphill.

I'm clueless.. what should I do ?

Check this area. Your trans mount could be bad.

Have you ever checked your motor mounts?

Now's the time. About double the torque when in 4L. Strains stuff pretty good.

And, you shouldn't wait til you're stuck to put it in 4wd. Trying to get unstuck in 2ws can tear things up.

Time for some noggin pokin on your part.

Good place to begin.

Get a look at the front mounts on the engine also.

Albert, thanks for being a good sport. Sometimes folks are offended by my "noggin pokin" definition. LOL.

I drove mine 20k wondering why it banged every large bump unable to find the problem. I looked at the motors mounts multiple times. Couldn't find anything eventually said screw it and replaces them. Turns out the drivers side had torn in two and was lifting the engine every bump and heavy throttle application.

No problem
Not sure what it meant but I'm satisfied with the answers I've gotten.
Cheers
