No blocks aren't prone to exploding. The late models can possibly have a head from a bad casting. Search for info on 0331 heads. But take it with a grain of salt, mine has 180k and no issues and theres others that have more on theirs.

309000 on my 1988. Runs great. Doesnt burn any oil but it leaks a little.

Mine has 195ka changed the oil, burns zero oil and looks brand new in the dip stick after 1500k apparently the clutch is original as well

95 here w/ 190,000ish, original motor and trans etc... runs like top!!! Lots of hard driving, but well maintained for the most part. With all the other high milage #'s I'm seeing, it sure makes me feel better about my rig! My goal is to make it to 250K.

I had a zj with a 4.0 that had 243,000 miles before I totaled it the motor still works.

dad's 1988 - 301k never rebuilt sold because of rust-
mom's 1990-212k never rebuilt sold because of rust
dad's new 1990 which is now mine after he passed 144k never rebuilt sounds smooth and quiet
the 2 that got sold because of rust are still running around on the road to this day...

maybe it is the Renix powa lol...

my jeep runs great,its a 1999 and has 168,ooo miles I bought it 4 years ago--I let someone do some work on it and now it idles faster than it use to Does anybody know how fast it should idle in park? Thank you!
