How far without rolling over ?
Hey CF, so I know each vehicle is different and circumstances very but, How far can you go without rolling your xj? Were looking for angled pictures here and Please post your specs ( lift, tire size, etc,) along with pictures .

They can lean pretty good however, Lift's , armor, tire size, roof racks all factor in.
Here's the angles I've had mine on but the camera does not do them justice
3.5" RE/Teraflex Hybrid lift, 33x10.50's on 15x8's
With a bunch of heavy armor, A ton of tools , and Full tank of fuel ( I always top off before wheeling )

Those pictures are awesome ! After lifting my xj, we went down the same trails we generally do and my kids thought we were going to flip, (felt different with lift) and it got me thinking, Whats the roll over angle of XJs? Being that most all jeeps are different, this seemed the best way, seeing pictures of what others have done.
Maybe so but, we should have SOME fun on this forum to break up the monotonous, "help my jeeps broke" threads, and this is all I could find online anyway...
They were published in the sales brochures years ago, good luck finding one. Here is what I found by doing a search on the net. For a STOCK XJ, lifted will change everything.
Wheelbase = 101.4"
Overall length = 165.3" - 168.8"
Overall width = 67.9" - 70.5"
Track = 58"
Height = 64" (with roof rack 66.8")
Ground clearance from differentials = 7.3" (Upcountry = 8.3")
Approach angle = 37.6º - 38º
Departure angle = 31º - 32.1º
Breakover angle = 21º - 21.9º
Curb weight 2wd = 2,891 lbs - 2,993 lbs
Curb weight 4wd = 3,057 lbs - 3,386 lbs
Cargo capacity = 71.0 cu ft.
What your looking for is either the breakover angle(angle it will side roll) or the
angle of clearance for climbing which would be the approach angle.
keep the pics coming!

Reminds be of the question about how do you keep from stripping a bolt.

I've been in a creek and had the pass side mirror touch ground. Wasn't completely flat ground but it was teetering. My girlfriend was very upset to say the least. Of course I've also laid it over once or twice too

I saw a TJ roll over on black ice in town 30mph when he slide to the side and hit a 6" curb. That is really a hard judgment call along with the fact 90% is the skill of the driver IMHO.
