Well I saw an adjuster this afternoon. After my deductible she gave me $512.00 for the repairs. All I really care about is the hood so now I'm looking for a used one. With the rest of the money I think I'm going to buy a Detours tailbone rear tire carrier.

The first ding always hurts the most, especially when it's not your fault. With in the first 3 weeks, after I inquired my jeep. There was a terrible storm here, Flooding the town out. I was driving to my wife's work to move her car to higher ground. About 2 block from my house, A huge Oak tree split in half, at the trunk. I heard it crack, then show it out of the upper corner of the windshield. Dropping about 30 ft. directly in front of me. I hit the skids, slide into the tree limb. Moving it approx. 10 ft. this thing covered from one sidewalk, across the other sidewalk. It was huge. Before I could back the front end of my jeep off the top of this limb. There where witnesses trying to pull me out of the driver's door. To make sure I was alright. Damages done, Right front tire had a broken branch, the size of my arm. Punched through both side walls (a 6" piece still inside, when I had the tire changed.)..I thank god I was only going about 20 mph. Because any faster, and that limb would of crushed my jeep. It coasted the the tree owner $800. To have Public Service, cut it up and remove it from the road. I have pics.
