glasspack or flows..
i know its prob old topic, but i just want some suggestions, i am looking at either an 8" glasspack or a flowmaster single chamber muffler. any thoughts on sound, performance?

if you go FlowMaster, remember to slap on some whistle tips, WOO-WOOOOOOO!!!!
personally, i like glasspacks over Flows any day. for me, sound is second rate compared to performance. if you go with a single chamber FM, then remember that that is going to be much louder than a dual chamber.

I say glasspack as well, ESPECIALLY if you have your stock cat. With the stock cat, these engines aren't very loud. My bro-in-law was pretty upset after he spent $100 to have a FM welded on and then found he liked my straight pipe better.

Loss of back pressure means loss of power and performance aswell as mpgs, when i bought mine it had a quarter sized hole in the exhaust right before the cat, honestly it sounded nice but i was averaging 14 mpg fixed it and hey guess what 16 mpg go f*in figure.

My renix is a cat only, was that way when I got it.
Its a little loud but not obnoxious, I can tell when the Mrs pulls up the drive with it.
We got 14 acres so the drive is not your typical driveway, maybe 200 yards to the road.
