Default Glasspack or Flowmaster 40 ?

Right now I have 3 inch wide 18 inch long glasspack then a Flowmaster 40 series.... Kind of quiet, sounds okay. I was thinking about putting another resonator or glasspack in place of the FM 40. Since the flowmaster is a restrictive chambered design I wanted to go with straight through design but don't want to spend $150 on a magnaflow..... Will it lose rumbly idle or have crisper defintion ? Any thoughts from anyone running glasspacks or resonators now ? Will I pick up a hp or two ?

so you have a glasspack AND a flowmaster and want to add another glasspack? If you want it louder just hit the glasspack with the waterhose a few times after its really hot. That'll make it louder

No I was asking about replacing the Flowmaster with another 6-12 inch glasspack or resonator and if it would be louder and if I would lose bass in the exhaust note or if it would flow better and what not.

well if you're wanting better flow then eleminate one and keep just one on there. just the flowmaster or just the glasspack will both be louder than the both of them combined. I'd keep the 40 and ditch the glasspack.

Well I didn't have the glasspack before... Just the FM 40. But it sounded soo high pitched and ricey at 3000 rpm.... because there was not that thing located where the glasspack is now, lol. I had a gp put in to cut that noise out, but now i feel it's restrictive and have heard chambered design fm is restrictive(even though it's only 2 chamber 40 series). It sounds adequate right now.... I went with my buddy and he had the muffler and something else replaced with resonators(so two total) and it sounded nice, with a deep tone, and sounded better than $400 systems out there and he only paid $90.

I still have mine, what are you talking about ? It was/is failing...... lol.

-Oklahoma City knows how to keep their air clean( so we aren't burdened like other city's because of their mistakes that lead to the EPA coming to town and having vehicle checks), but i still have mine because it's federal law.

Ironically I just bought one yesterday from 4 Wheel Parts ! Average gas mileage went from 15.8 over past 2000 miles.... and reset it right when I bought it and I have been flooring it everywhere and getting 16.8 ! My CAI jumped my mpg from 14.8-15.8 and my (*sent in private message) jumped mpg from 14.2-14.8 ! Talking backwards here but those are some tips for better mpg ! So I have gained a total of 2.6 mpg from mods so far and when I get a header should hit 17 around town(all my driving is 100% around town)!

-As for the Spacer. I read online it does nothing and expected nothing. But it DEFINENTLY increased power below 2000 rpm when cruising ! I can merge onto highway in overdrive(4th) and still accelerate with speed of traffic ! It doesn't require downshift anymore... Minor increase in mid range and no noticeable diff on top end. Seemed to make the shifts from the trans softer for some reason, it's weird.

I made my cai using Spectre $40 large cone filter and a little $10 extension tubing piece. It was on sale at 4 wheel parts so $81 after tax.... Don't get rugged ridge because it doesn't make the air "swirl" and if you get the trans dapt($58-61) one get the one with same design as Power Aid.

yeah i have two mufflers... it was too loud with just fm 40 and sounded like a 4 cylinder ricer at 3000 rpm so i added 18 inch glasspack in front of it. It's technically "header" lol...
