Default Flowmaster super 40 or 44?

Hey everybody! So I was under my jeep and saw that my muffler is rotting out. After doing some research Im going to get a flowmaster muffler and the common ones I am seeing are the super 10 40 and 44. I think the 10 is to way to loud from what I read and listened to on you tube. So its between the 40 and 44. I dont want something REALLY loud but I do want it to have a good sound. I dont want to have to yell to talk to someone in the passenger seat going down the highway. I have a stock cat and Im going to run a new 2.5" tail pipe out the back since mine is rotted. I have listened to the 40 and 44 on you tube but they are all recorded from next to the tail pipe and people comment that you tube doesn't do them justice. So how loud is the 40 inside the vehicle at idle, side streets, and highways? Im leaning more towards the 40 but I dont want to be like holy**** this thing is REALLY loud and regret the purchase. So for the people that have or heard the 40 or 44 what do you guys think of the sound and how loud is it in the vehicle?

The 40 is louder but I lovemy 44. Its deep and loud enough for me. Esp with a high flow cat and a walker down pipe. When the engine is warmed up u can hear the cam at idle. When ever istand on it I get looks.

No the 44's are a 9x4 case.the 40's are 10x5. So in this case bigger is deeper. Its on flowmasters website.

The 44 did sound very good in the video. The 44 is starting to sound like a better choice. I think when I was looking stuff up I found that it is shorter then a stock muffler and that some pipe wold have to be added to take up the space. Is this true? Also how load is the 44 is it under normal driving, not not a heavy pedal. Im sure it sounds really good under a heavy pedal which I do do from time to time but I like to take it easy other times.

I forgot to ask. Would a center/center work or do I need a center/offset. I believe stock is a center/offset so Im guessing that is what I need but just want to check.
