Default Cherokee Rims

Hi, was wondering if anyone can help out. I have an 01 XJ with the limited style rims. I live these rims and am gonna put 31's on them. My question is, can i go with a 10.5 inch tire?

Yes. You usually don't want to go more than 4" wider.

I believe everyone loves a Jeep with Icons.

I believe this one has 31x10.5r16 tires on it.

Worst case scenario you may rub the LCAs a little bit. Steering stops will fix that.

How big is your lift? My 31" Guard Dogs catch the bottom of the fender flares if I hit a bump while turning, and I have a 3" lift.

I've got stock rims and I run 31's without a problem.

Hate to run slightly off topic. How are those 31 guard dogs. I've got icons and wanted to keep them when moving to 235/75/16. I've already trmmed fenders and have bent lcas. Can't beat treadwright prices

Love 'em. They are noisy, and don't expect your XJ to handle like a sports car with them on, but they chewed through snow quite well and aside from greasy, gooey mud they have plenty of grip. They're less of a mud tire and more of a super aggressive all-terrain. Plus they look cool.

I do have to mention that while mine do rub when hitting bumps while turning at half-lock, i'm ALSO running rims with 3" back spacing, so that could be a factor. i have no idea how they'd tuck in with stock back spacing.
