Default cheap front lift?

ok, i would like to lift the front of the cherokee i'm getting 3" and would like to do it for virtually free.....

is there a reason that i could not build a weld in spacer? basically a tube that slides over the bumpstop tube or whatever you want to call it and have a lip on it 3" lower than stock....

did that make any sense? it would be welded in, so no chance of it sliding out.

i guess, only metal and free.....

i'm never seen a 3" poly spacer, i'm also new to this.

would the center tube need to be extended to keep the springs from coming out when the axle droops?

Cherokee bodies are pretty strong but kinda thin metal. Welding stuff to the body could end up hurting more then helping...

Just fab up a metal spacer. Don't weld it in but slide it in so it can be removed. HowlerGT makes them as well. Maybe you could contact him for some input on a design.

Sounds like a plan. I like the idea OKC.

But the "phone" hasn't rung yet.
