thats on most any rig. Welding to the spring seats wouldn't be a bad idea...the do hold up the weight of the entire front end after all

Who are you to say that building coil spacers himself is doing things the wrong way? I guess I shouldn't be a cheap a$$ and build my own bumpers and rockers.

Coil spacers are a great way to get added lift for cheap money. Whats wrong with that?

But its just that, its YOUR opinion. Doesn't mean coil spacers are a bad idea or the WRONG way to lift a Jeep. Personally, I think that most aftermarket springs are way too stiff(explain why a RC 3" coil is only about 1/2" taller than a stock spring when both are standing next to each other on the ground) and the stock springs are nice and soft. Soft coils=softer ride so a coil spacer isn't a bad idea. Its the same concept with an ACOS system, except its not adjustable.

I just bought a set of 3 inch spacers off ebay I was also a little worried at first but my pocket book would not let me get a spring lift kit . I put it on and it looks great and perfourms great also and I flexed the crap out of my jeep several times with no problems.

I want him to do it and post up when done so we can see it in action, from the furthest distance away possible.
