I put mine by the 4wd selector didn't like it there then put it in the dash panel to hard to see so I'm thinkin either overhead or just Velcro it to the dash above the radio

Though this is not a picture of my dash, (oh, how I wish I had a double din installed), I marked the spot where I put my Cobra Soundtracker CB. I'm assuming that yours is like mine, all contained in the handle, buttons and all. I placed the main box up above and behind the gas/brake pedal area against the firewall, hidden out of the way. I then just attached the hanger for the CB radio handle right where I placed the red circle in the picture, and that's where it hangs currently. The radio wire running to the handle does not affect or get in the way of your right leg like you might think. It's clean, out of the way, and extremely accessible. I'll try and take some pics tonight of mine and post them for you to see.

My rear view mirror fell off two weeks ago when I went to adjust it. It really hasn't bothered me driving without it at all. Still got the side mirrors.
I'm also trying to figure out where to mount my CB....really thinking on the dash above the radio and vents...dunno.

Alright, here is my actual setup, now that I've had time to take a few pics.
Moving left to right, you'll see I hung the hanger bracket just to the right of the steering wheel. I have the little power supply box/whatever, placed up behind the pedals out of the way.
The last picture was actually taken while I was driving to illustrate how the cord actually stays out of your way. I've yet to have it be an issue. Location's good also, because it's close enough to hear it, not tucked away somewhere away from earshot.
Hope it helps.
