i got a wilson 1000 antenna and get about 4-5 miles reception in town. cobra 75 is a full function cb, so you get a sound tracker, weather channels memory and all. the only downfall is that it can't be tweaked for more power... you actually have to get a linear amp to get more out of the 75, whereas 29 can be tweaked.

 

I can get about a 25 mile radius

 

i bought my new cobra 75... with everything fire stick coax everything... for $96....lol if i like it i got 2 cbs for sale..... 25 small one and a 29 soundtracker full sizeeee.... lol well see it sould be here tuesday

ok, so about a week ago my cobra 75 built in speaker took a dump. i had read online that this happens to most of those units, but i figured i might be an exception. well, i wasn't. i called cobra, and they want me to send it in, wait about 2 weeks for them to decide whether they can fix it, blah blah... basically, stay without a cb for about a month... i use mine at least a few times a week, so i don't wanna let it go for a month.
if you have one of these units, more likely than not this will happen to you. so, i bought a $15 uniden speaker, and we're back in business.
