1996 & later should be OBD-II. If you have a 1996, check the VECI label underhood - at the bottom, it should say if it complies with OBD-I or OBD-II specs 9some early 1996 vehicles have been known to be OBD-I.)

I got Torque and an ELM327 to use with my wife's 2006 Suzuki Verona - love it! Now, I can catch issues before OBD does (which was common with OBD-I, but now it's easier and more fun...)

Hey man, still using your Torque app?

How are you liking it? What parameters do you normally track?

Also, does the intake temp gauge work well?

Thanks!

Im still using it. Its good for showing a lot of things but its not very accurate. For the intake temp its around 120° with my cowl intake

can someone please help me i just picked up a blue tooth adapter and the torque pro app also...i would like to get the most accurate readings possible...in settings under vehicle editor the app asks for a few different things to fine tune things but a couple i am not sure about

total vehicle weight , i'm not sure how to get the exact weight of me and my rig?
boost adjustment(atmospheric pressure adjustment) , im not sure what this is about?
volumetric efficiency , not the foggiest clue what this is?
MPG trim adjustment (in case mpg is off) , ????
and of course the big one is the OBD speed multiplier (for vehicles with different diameter tires then stock) , i have 235/75/15 tires how do i input that???

Kerb weight, plus fluids, plus you, plus gear, ... Just use the GVWR.

If you're not running a supercharger or turbosupercharger, this doesn't apply for you.

VE is the amount of air actually moved per revolution of the crankshaft, vice the air theoretically moved, expressed as a percentage. The 0630 and 0331 heads, with stock crankshafts, put this figure somewhere around 86-88% (averaging out most of the curve. Yes, it varies by RPM.)

Check on the site, I'm not sure about this one.

IIRC, 235-75R15 tyres are pretty much OEM, you can verify this against the vehicle information label inside the driver's door jamb. If they are, don't put anything in this space - a multiplier of "1.00" should be assumed. (Else, it would be the difference between the current tyre size and the factory tyre size, expressed as a decimal percentage.)

If you want better VE numbers, we'd need to know more about your setup - the key factors being cam events (valve open/close/duration/lift/profile) and if you've had any port work done on your heads (which requires a trip to the flowbench.) The cylinder head casting number can be found on top of the head, outside the rocker cover rail, between the #3 and #4 exhaust ports (driver's side, about halfway down the length.) Since you're using Torque, it's going to be either 0630 (early) or 0331 (late) if the head hasn't been swapped.
