I've got a Crafstman that I've had for 12 or 13 yrs. now. Paid like $69.99 for it new. I use it multiple times daily at work. It has never failed to work. Ever.
Bought a high dollar Ingersol Rand a few years ago. Lasted about a year.

I've had several from Harbor Freight without much issue as long as I use them once in a while.
I have had them rust up internally if I let it sit to long. Mostly because of moisture from the air tank.

I've got an old Central Pneumatic that I bought for $5 at a yard sale. The housing is actually cracked slightly, but it always works. It's the same one they used to sell cheap on Harbor Freight, although mine looks at least 20 years old (and apparently HF doesn't have them now).
The only thing that it didn't have enough nuts to pull off was a Honda crank pulley, which actually took a 780ftlb Ingersoll-Rand and about 10 minutes... but the IR is like $250. The cheap Central Pneumatic had no problem pulling axle nuts from my Cherokee. It may not be the best, but it's very good value for money if the new ones are anything like mine.
Now, if you're looking for a really good one, I like the Ingersolls quite a bit.
