I would never even consider putting a 6BT in anything smaller than an FSJ or J10.

You realize that a 6bt with accessories weighs in at about 1,000lbs right?

ha a 6BT would be sweet but thats pushing it and more of a dreaming type deal/a lot of strengthening... but a 4BT however... thats VERY doable. and yeah man even though its just photoshoped pic it still looks a lot better.. i think i'd still like it if the bed was shortend/cut before the wheel. still a bit long for my taste/a jeep

Holy crap, man. You have just opened my eyes to a whole new world.

I agree completely. The 4 doors look a little...off. NO OFFENSE WHATSOEVER!!!

But that pair of tudoors look awesome!!

I've got a 2 door, and now am thinking of this myself.

Eh, IMO its just too much engine for a Cherokee. A tuned and boosted 4bt or QSB3.3 would be the shizz though.

I think it's dumb doing a two door. Might as well just get a mj since it's basically the same with a shorter bed. Get the four door and make it now we are talking. But either way they are both bad a$$.

If I can fit and support a ls1 in my Miata and it can take it then I'm positive the xj can support a 6bt. But a boosted 4th would be good.

The two 2doors posted reminded me more of an old Bronco or International Scout. I liked those two alot!

So if you can say "might as well just get a MJ"

I can say you might as well have bought an H2 if you plan on chopping your 4 door.

Yes, but MJs use the same exact front doors as the 4door XJs.

any V8 in a miata throws its 50/50 weight balance out the window and ruins the handling of the car. Thats a WHOLE nother ballgame though.

I still think that a 6bt in an XJ, would be more of a hinderance than it'd be worth. You could easily use a 4bt(~300lbs lighter) Tune and boost it to make a solid 200 hp, and 350-400ft-lbs of torque and never need anything more in an XJ unless you're going to do Jeepspeed type stuff.
