someday, I will make a truggy out of a 2-door cherokee. I'm talking a tube frame from the b-pillar back. A nice Fat D60 in the rear, maybe a D44 or D60 up front. some 39.5 Iroks and Alllll street legal.

what you need to do if you chop yours, is somehow make or have made a vinyl top for it and have it angle down from the roof to the tail-gate at a 45 degree angle. kinda like the aftermarket tops you can get for the wrangler unlimiteds. Dogs still have a place to ride, and you get your chop top.

I thought about gettin a 2 door and pullin the rear seats out and have the little back space for indoor crap. Then have the rear cut out and get some truck bed and cut-to-fit. I would use the old hatch as a rear for the new backing, except make it permanent. Then, build a roll cage and lift it about 6".

Its what I do. The awesome thing about that is you could have all 4 doors removable, and an open rear, so you'd basically have a smaller version of a Wrangler Unlimited with a permanent hard-top.

If I had more money and tools I'd probably have already cut mine up. Someday mine is either going to get a chop or the whole back cut off. I haven't figured out which. maybe I'll make a truggy with MJ bedsides dovetailed inwards towards the rear.

If you wanna cut yours up, I want to help!

This Jeep is exactly what I'd want mine to look like if I didn't do a sloped top. Looks like you're going for a HMMVV look? Any more pics? Paint it DT or OD yet?
