Quote: i don't know how GA is but here in LA your vehicle is an extension of your home. if someone tries to break in with you in it you can take lethal action. you can keep your gun locked and loaded anywhere in the vehicle. it does not have to be visible. i know in TX you can carry your gun but the mag and gun have to be separated and the gun has to be unloaded!!! what's the point of carrying it then???
Quote: yes GA is the same...your vehicle is an extension of your home...but no law would stop me from carrying anyways...my family and i safety is greater than any law...you just dont know now a days
In NY you have to apply for a pistol permit and give them a reason for having a need for one! Then after a few months, if your approved, you can finally buy one. When transporting piston or rifles the firearm and ammo have to be in seperate compartments, with at least one not accessible to the occupants. Its BS if you ask me.

Quote: Before and after. I needed to be able to put long pieces of wood and my bike in the back so I had to completly change the PO's setup and still find a home the Viair 550 and the 2.5 gal tank and the hi lift. Check out my solution.

Before from the previous owner:
Attachment 24440
After My Mod:
Attachment 24441

Looks good. I like how clean it looks now.

Quote: alot of really great ideas here...but the one i was hoping to see aint here yet. anybody built their own posi-lock to replace the vacuum actuated 4x4 stuff?
im sure if the vac system is kept up its fine...but a cable actuated set-up has got to be trouble free...doesnt it?
those $180 kits ive seen on feebay look like the manufacturer must making about $170 in profit....
Im working on one right now. Will prob be about a month or so before I have pictures but here is the link to the cable im using. ( http://www.eztruckaccessories.com/31...GT3100X10.html ) Still have to get the spring setup right and then get the cable cut to the proper length and the pull handle installed in the cab. Then cut up the vacuum diaphragm and add a solid coat of silicone over everything to make sure its water tight.

Quote: good point...YOU NEVER KNOW!!! now i'm gonna say this but i'm a cop so boundaries and guns don't apply to me. i carry my pistol EVERYWHERE!!! gym, gas station, grocery shopping, jogging...it doesn't matter. i'm commissioned and can carry ANYWHERE i want and i fully exercise that! you just never know. i see some crazy stuff now-a-days!!!
You carry a gun while jogging? Worried? high blood pressure? My hands are lethal enough for me...
