That makes total sense. Might do it just for the fun of it but not to actually use unless it doesn't break if I throw it across the yard or something then I might use it. It wouldn't be anything special. Basically just a rectangular prism with reinforcement on the inside that would disperse the energy from a collision of example. I would be consulting with an engineer who helped engineer the worlds fastest sailboat when I do it.

I got my bumpers for increased clearance and built in recovery points with frame tie ins.

Alright guys... gettin' a little off track here. If you want to continue that conversation, probably best move it into the PM. Don't want to get this thread closed.

Using 1-1/2" pipe clamp brackets from my work, drilled a 3/8" hole and tacked a bolt through. Bushings were made from a $0.99 rubber mallet using a hole saw and band saw to cut pucks out. Factory tire hold down handles. Carriage head bolts through the back pan of the seat and secured with 3/8" fender washers and nylock nuts.

IDK if it counts as home brew, but my factory TB intake hose split in 2, so i went to AUtozone and got a Spectre 3-2.5 reducer, 3" flex hose and used that to fab a makeshift intake hose until my new one arrives. It is not a perfect fit under the hood, as it smashes down about 1/2 inch, but for a temp basis, it will work.

I dunno if you can really call it home"brew" but I cut a stock bumper down to a stubby.

I'm planning on welding some sheet metal "caps" to the ends just to make it look a little more finished.
