clean by how evenly it look or how it look like it wasn't welded?
Used dial calipers and a belt sander to make all spacing even.
Used a special flat tip on the soldering iron I think it was designed specifically for plastic. Then used a needle file to smooth out the edges before painting it

It does a enough because I am always blastin the air (live in LA so it's cold at night and hot in the day normally) so it helps. Got the thing for $8 on eBay and came a week early. However it was a 3.5mm and not the 2.5mm I needed so I just got An adapter and voila. It works. But it's better than no muffle (stops the popping noise from air) so it's worth it
