I'm in NW Arkansas, so I'll definitely know if this will make it run warmer in a couple of months, haha

I just wanted the grille to look different so I cut out the vertical plastic bars and painted and formed this sheeting to give it a different look. To each their own, but I like it

We're all about different.
Used a 3/4" screen from a gravel pit.
Check it out in this video here.

If it does just install a set of these from Gary Briggs on this site. My temp. has been 20 degrees lower than normal since I installed them. I might even need to make something to block them in the winter so the engine stays in the 195 range.

Looking for any tricks, tips, or ideas for the trunk area. I'm gonna cut out all the bad metal and weld in new sheet metal. Any insight from somebody who has done it would be appreciated.

When cutting out bad areas, keep them as templates for the new sheet steel. Trace the pattern on the new sheet steel allowing, an additional inch around the entire pattern. This will accommodate for, holes drilled through the new sheet steel, for Rosette welds. Drill holes approx, 1/4" ~3/8" in diameter. And approx 1~ 1 and a half inches, apart.
When you cut out the bad spots, check everything under aswhere its currently bad.
I found my treat frame rails, were shot. I had to rebuild them as well.
