You could also use a rubber washer or some silicone if you are the type of person who doesn't leave anything to chance.
Well yeah, that's what I mean. It doesn't look like you used anything to seal it. The factory uses a rubber gasket. Not trying to criticize, Just didn't know if I was just missing something.

made some tube doors out of 1x2 square tube with the wife used some spare stock door mounts so it all bolts up and a fence gate latch. also bolts on the mounting point has a washer causeing to have presure on the latch which means no rattle. i like the top flat part going to add some padding for a arm rest and a mirror on the drivers side. wife thinks I should add some mess to make it look cool.

Default Hood Vents

I sent away for a set of the hood vents Gary Briggs made. I will attest to the quality of these vents, they are very well made. I can't wait to get them installed. It may be a few weeks though. Thanks Gary!

Glad you like them, I'll have to make some more. Finally got around to installing mine a few days ago.

They actually work, to a drive with the wife up into the Sierra Nevada's today. I always seem to run hot up there on those windy roads driving slow. Ran much cooler, also the hood itself is much cooler after a long drive you can actually put your hand on it without burning yourself now!

Yessir.... great for fishing. Not quite as great as a pair of Costa's but when you pay a tenth of what you would pay for Costa's there' really no comparison.
