Custom snowboard/ fishing pole rack

Made out of some polyurethane rail things my dad had laying around, some old snowboard bindings, a door mat from the DG and about 10 dollars of stainless steel hardware.

How tight does it hold em? Id add a strip of rubber to it or cut notches for the things it holds to keep em from sliding around. Great idea though, I just need a busted set of bindings and I'm set time to go hit a thrift shop...

I bought a rubber floor mat from the DG, cut it into strips, and glued it to the crossbars and the polyurethane rails. It holds them very tight on the sides, but you can see in the picture how the rail bowed in the middle. I might get a thicker mat so to replace the DG mat with.

Lol yea i wouldn't trust it. Thats a socket welded to the bottom, not a threaded stud.

Yea it might get a lil toasty but i guess we'll see. All i gotta do is take it inside. Lol

It rly surprised me how well it works. Just push down a little and shift. The weigh of the ball makes for easy shifting.

For those of you that like to fish and don't have a head liner. About $7.

It won't be so hot, you won't be able to shift.

I had B&M shifters in my 74 and 86 camaros and I live in Houston Texas. They got hot, but not burn your skin hot.

I do agree with you, but aren't B&M shifters aluminum?
