So basically its best to just take them off and keep them off? And Im hoping that the front isnt as exstensive as the back because the back is to the point where its just rediculously close to falling apart. Just more patch work I suppose?
Also if you have a welder, use the thinnest gauge wire that you can along with a gas blend with 90% argon and 10% CO2.
I know this is TOTALLY off-topic but my roommate brought a girl home with him and she's LOUD.....

Yeah, I'd find a decent sized piece of 18 gauge sheet metal if it really is that bad. you have any pictures?

yes, the drop brackets reduce the control arm angle and allow for a much smoother ride, however they reduce ground clearance and thus long arms would be a much better alternative.

my thoughts on the original bumper question= I am building a winch bumper presently, due to my situation I am makeing a bolt together set-up, al grade 8 7/16 bolts, once each piece is ready to go on it'll be fitted and welded so it will be a bolt together &welded unit I feel good with that If acrack does occur it will not have the flex to tear

what does it take to get some zj front seats into my xj? i know ive been told before but cant remeber and im just feeling lazy and dont want to look it up. is it just basically bolt in?i konw theres more to it when it comes to the rear seat that much i do remember.
You know how to weld, at the very worst buy $50 worth of 1/8" steel and bolts with nuts and you're set.
Its literally 4 bolts that stick out of the floor. I'm sure that you could easily fab mounts in a couple hours if they dont bolt in.

ok so i gots this idea. since i busted my header panel and noone around seems to have any 97-01 styles (at least for cheap enough). does anyone know how hard it would be or how to make a fiberglass copy of the good side, then make and or form it into the busted side? thinking this might be the route i take to repair mine when time comes.

yes its your cap getting wet. my old jeep used to do it. to stop it or rather help prevent it i always put some silcon around the cap. not the hardening kind basically die eletric grease. that would keep the water out of there and keep it from sputtering.
