Default WJCraig's Sliderz install!

Well, was going to install these today, but then my drill crapped out on me...Maybe tomorrow, if the rain doesn't come....Anyway, here's some pics:

Blasting to prep these bad boys for paint:

One Blasted, One to go...

Painted and ready for install:

Getting ready to mark and drill the holes:

And that's when I found out that I had no way of drilling the holes. Oh well, at least I know they'll fit, and I've got the hole locations marked...

To be continued with a new drill.....

Later.

Well....managed to get ONE of the sliders bolted up before the rain came down in ridiculous proportions...

First things first...ther proper equipment when doing an install of any kind is a MUST:

Looking towards the front:

Looking towards the rear:

AND the monsoon that put an end to the install for today.....

So now I have One slider on, and one in the garage. Maybe one day I'll get this project (which SHOULD have been fairly quick and easy) completed...

Oh well...Maybe tomorrow....

what brand are those, you make them or buy them, they look really nice and well made. Do they bolt to the pinch weld too?

Well, I'd like to take credit for those welds....but my skill in the gluing of metal is not anywhere near that pretty. These sliders come from Kevin's Off road, in Az. You just have to prep, paint (Or powdercoat, line-x, or whatever) and install. They're made of 1/8" steel, and I'm pretty sure can take a pretty hefty beating. They bolt to the subframe, and just behind the pinch weld. You can see the mount plate on the right upper side in this pic:

Thanks fellers. I'm assuming you're refering to the install or the product, and not my carpet...

Anyway, going out to check for strength and protection properties of these units tomorrow...

Supposed to be sunny and 21ºC tomorrow... (That's 69.8ºF for Y'all Americans)

Later.
