Default need advice before I do it.....

I have a 99 grand cherokee with a fuel leak at the filter. Thought it was the return line and that a new filter would solve the problem but turns out I was wrong and its the other line. Looks like it is a rubber line into a metal fitting that is leaking before the filter. Can I cut the rubber line and splice new high pressure line with hose clamps?

Yes you can do that. ^^^^ I did it to my cousins grand. It started leaking again after a few months tho so we just went to jy and got all new (used) hoses and all and replaced with oem parts and whallaaaaaa fixed the prob.

Thanks for the advice. I was hoping not to have to drop the tank. Did you guys use high pressure hose?

I believe that's the return line to tank but I think it's also high pressure. It's designed to allow the pump to run holding a no flow status without straining.
