2000 Grand Cherokee Limited w/63K miles. After starting (just sometimes) the dashboard key light (a key icon in a circle with a line through it) comes on. After awhile (sometimes after the key light 2-3 miles later) all, and I mean all of the warning lights come on and the gauges all go to 0. The key happens anytime but all lights usually happens in the morning and not after the car has been driven a couple of times. The car runs fine, but all of the gauges dropping to 0 and the lights are disconcerting. What's wrong and can it be fixed??

Sounds to me like a bad connection in the gauge cluster plug. All the electrical impulses that operate the gauges comes from the PCM (computer). You can pull the cluster very easily on your model. All it takes is to pop off the lower dash bezel above the steering wheel. It's held on by spring clips. Then there's 4 Phillips screws.
