intermittant starting

I have an 05 Laredo that starts intermittently. The previous owner replaced the fuel pump a couple of months ago and now I'm having problems. Towed it to the Jeep dealer and they said that they want to put in a Mopar pump for $600. Does this sound right.

Yeah, unfortunately that's what the Mopar pump costs (+labor, BTW). Did anyone do any testing on this, or are you going with recommendations?

My wife's Dodge Caravan needed a fuel pump so she had one put in by the dealer. Two weeks later it failed so they put another one in free. The problem was the tank had sand in it, how it got there is anybodies guess, but they cleaned it out. The tech never thought to check the tank when he did it the FIRST time!

Hi Dave
The Tech says the pump pressure is too high. I really can't argue with him about it. It's just a strange problem, it seems that it could be an electrical problem like my Integra's pump relay when the solders went bad and the car wouldn't start when it got hot out. I guess I'll have to wait till Tuesday to see if it fixes the problem.
