Gear Shifter Belt/Dust cover binding up
My 2006 Grand Cherokee's rubber gear shifter belt/dust cover is binding up when I put it in drive.....I have to force it to go in drive. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Any good videos available? Thanks

I've seen this a few times. Sometimes its something stuck under the console (marble, french fry, etc..), sometimes it's linkage issue. Have you had a look underneath?

Dude.... OP stated his 06 Grand... not an XJ. WAAAAYYY different... but at the same time, trim/dash removal is always basically the same. no matter make/model/year.

If he looks at wkjeeps.com like I already told him, he would find out how to remove it in the "interior trim" removal section.
