im fixing my center console there isnt much wrong with it but just one piece missing, its the dust cover where the shifter runs through. ive searched online for hours just cant find the part. im not interested in a complete console just this one part.
i had in mind 'bottom door brush sweep' cut two piece and make them face each other with the shifter in between and went to home depot, dennis company, walmart but noone got them and im not even sure if its holds brush like cover or if its just a curved piece of plastic.
Here is a video of what an older XJ one would look like. Pretty sure it applies to '94. Start at about a 1:10 in. Pretty sure that the whole bezel is glued together. So replacing the scaly part that I think you are talking about would not be practical. You would replace the whole thing. And that will require removing the shifter ****. Supposedly you just yank it right off but I would research that first. I tried to get a part number but my parts catalogs are confusing. Thinking this is what you want though:
that is exactly the right model thanks for that, its not glued btw i was able to open it up the brezel itself once out by 4 tiny screws and clean it out the whole mechanism its all in alright shape just the dust cover/slider was missing little stuff kept falling down there got about 1,85$ on coins and a bunch of other crap lol
thanks Marc
its all back together and it looks alright
i'll see if i can get a picture up later on tonight

ive used a plastic binder seperator and cut two slips and glued them together in a bend shape so the slip will keep pushing up to make it stiffer drilled a 12mm hole and some spray paint then used more of this material attached to the brezel itself to make the slip slide easier underneath the coin/ashtray so it wont bump into it.
