Drivetrain opinion thoughts and what not
Hey guys/gals got a few questions. I have a 03 jeep wj 4 in lift custom winch bumper and running 265/75r/16 goodyear mtr with kevlar. My current ratio is a 3:55 and it runs kind of slow. Im throwing numbers around for re-gearing. Possibly going with 3:73 but i dont know if that will even make a difference. Might go with 4:10. Keep in mind it is my daily driver. But i like to cruise rather than haul ***. I have the 4.0 in mine so thats why im looking at re gearing instead of a engine swap money is really tight for me. Semper Fi!

IMHO, you can go with 3.73. Those will give you a little better starting torque with the tires you've got. If you ever want to go to 31 or 33s, you'd be best with 4.10s. Hey. marine! Why don't you go to militaryjeepers.com. You qualify being military and a jeeper. Those guys are nuts about jeeps and have tried just about everything you can do to a jeep. JMHO.

Thanks a lot i will check them out. Im running 31's right now but might goto 32's in the future. I know stock jk's are running 4:10 typically i thought 4:10 was straight off road but can be both

Just to give you an idea, my 67 Camero had 4.10s and low profile 14" tires. I was running 4000 rpm at 70 mph, 6000 at 107. With your 31's, you should be fine.
