I see a lot of people have had trouble with the evaporator core. I just was given a 1993 Cherokee Laredo 4.0 automatic that i was told the evaporator is shot. I was wondering if someone could send me the service manual pages. I am going to try this one myself. Since its a 1993 should I while i am in there replace the heater core too??

I'll send you a Private Message.
And Welcome to CF!
I have a 1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport. I also have to replace the evaporator. Any pictures, manuals you have please send to me. I am told there is "one" bolt that nobody tells you about and it trips a lot of people up, ever heard of this?
Thanks again for helping me and many others.

Great write up. A couple of questions; Is there a so called hidden bold holding the dash in? This may be an old mechanics tale. Is the idea to completely unscrew/unbolt the dashboard and pull it out from the pass side just enought to get the ac unit out? What did you replace in the unit? ac evaporator? heater coil? anything else? Did you take the seats out? I noticed there is nothing coming from the defroster; any idea what could be causing this?
Thanks
Thanks
