A/C Evaporator Core repair
I too have the evaporator core problem. I hope someone is thill monitoring this thread. I have a '99 Cherokee that just won't hold a charge. I cannot find any leak die under the hood so I assume it is going out the evaporator. I would like to fix this myself. Help if you can.
Thanks

Just did this Sat...lots of labor but not too hard a job. Thanks ol blue...also there is a very good step by step on another jeep forum with pics that helped too. Took me six hours from start to finish.

I am also hoping that someone is monitoring this thread. I'm new hear and was just told that the shop wants another $1500 to fix the evap core that is apparently leaking freon. Already paid $2000 and really frustrated that they can't find the leak
. Please help may attempt myself if I can find good instructions.

Sorry from pulling from another forum, but the thread from there is too good to not post. Excellent write up and follow up from others. I did this job last Sat with the help from that forum and this one (thanks ol blue). Took about 6 hrs total time and getting it charged today...fingers crossed no leaks!

Hello looks like I need to replace the A/C Evaporator Coil on my 2001 Jeep Cherokee. I know its a big job but I would really appreciate if someone has this procedure and could send it to me.
Cheers!
Matt
