I too have the evaporator core problem. I hope someone is thill monitoring this thread. I have a '99 Cherokee that just won't hold a charge. I cannot find any leak die under the hood so I assume it is going out the evaporator. I would like to fix this myself. Help if you can.
Thanks

I am also hoping that someone is monitoring this thread. I'm new hear and was just told that the shop wants another $1500 to fix the evap core that is apparently leaking freon. Already paid $2000 and really frustrated that they can't find the leak. Please help may attempt myself if I can find good instructions.

Default Excellent write up here...

Sorry from pulling from another forum, but the thread from there is too good to not post. Excellent write up and follow up from others. I did this job last Sat with the help from that forum and this one (thanks ol blue). Took about 6 hrs total time and getting it charged today...fingers crossed no leaks!

Default 2001 Jeep Cherokee Evaporator Coil

Hello looks like I need to replace the A/C Evaporator Coil on my 2001 Jeep Cherokee. I know its a big job but I would really appreciate if someone has this procedure and could send it to me.

Cheers!

Matt
