Well I think this thread is really getting off target from the 5.2 to 5.9 swap. The swap works fine a few wires needed cut and spliced, I believe the 5.2 intake was used, the engine bolted to the tranny fine, it really isn't a swap I would do without having to replace the engine, at least not for a daily driver, or even just a non serious hobby vehicle. I had a mechanic do the engine swap, since I have no hoist and was out of town working. I think it is running the 5.2 injectors, I really have to ask the mechanic what he did swap, but if you have both engines it works. I do plan on finding some better injectors, I heard a tip that in the mid 2000's a ford focus injector plugs right in and is the same volume injector but more holes for better fuel air mix. I do have other issues with the jeep but at this point they are unrelated mostly to the engine swap other than to much power for the drive train issues, only if I do find some cheap power somehow. It really has plenty of power now, runs smooth, 4x4 seams to work fine, I even like the 249 transfer a little better than before once I understand how it works. Especially since I have the 96 that allows full lock in low range. I do have tranny issues, lift issues, and steering stabilizer issues as well and a vibration. I suspect a cheap rough country lift perhaps not properly installed is the vibration. But yeah I am starting some new threads in the proper sections.
