Default Help me ID these parts ... speedometer issue

Longtime reader, first-time poster.

For years, the speedometer/odometer on my 92 XJ Laredo 4.0 4x4 would fail sporadically but come back to life. Now it does not work at all. All other gauges on the cluster are functioning properly.

I know it could be the cluster, but I haven't tried replacing that. The failure could also be at the speed sensor, correct?

What's what here on the back of my transfer case?

Thanks, odgreen.

Replaced the speed sensor today and the speedometer came back to life.

THe 1992 Cherokee is apparently an in-between year for this part, so, the speed sensor that auto parts stores will try to sell you may not be right for your transfer case. What I ended up with, and what worked, was this:

Which is "Standard Motor Products SC109"
