Shaft should run you about $40-$60 for a decent shape shaft. That's what mine was with all the u-joints too.

Thanks for the info. I'll prolly end up grabing it later in the year. I dont have the tools to do it while im at college. And it's too cold. So once the weather gets better i'll snag one and barrow the tools and do it there since i have access to a big garage.

Just ran through this entire thread - awesome build man!! Came across it cause I'm looking to Herculine (or equivalent) the bumpers, flares, and door guards this popped up in a search. Two questions for you:

1 - What did you do to 'prep' the areas you lined?? I saw on one of your pictures it looked like you scuffed up the paint on the doors a little. What about the bumpers, or any of the plasticy parts??

2 - How has it held up after a year or so?? Any fading/cracking/chipping off etc??

It looks like this thread has been dormant for a while but if you don't mind hitting me back I'd appreciate it.

I did sand and clean every area i bed linded, it has unfortunatly all faded and some chipping off the plastics. I cant complain too bad. Next year im gonna give it the final coat of bedliner and hopefully not have to touch it again.

Good to know, thanks. Actually over the weekend I just picked up two spray cans of that Duplicolor Bed Armor and sprayed it on. Ended up doing the plastic bumper caps and the trim then decided to do full bumpers as well (which were the original paint color). I sanded them with 180 and also sprayed this adhesion promoter/primer-type stuff they sell too. The bedliner comes out THICK out of the spray can, and I've got a few drip marks to cover up, but as of right now it looks a heck of a lot better than it did before. I guess the real test is how it looks in a year... I suppose the good thing about this stuff is you can just touch it up whenever you need to, right??

Anyway, thx again--
