Well got some stuff done on the jeep today. Alot of cutting and welding, and some random wrenching. I got the back doors finished, gas tank removed, and the welding started. Still have some more welding, and grinding before I start the cage.

I got the idea cause when done right they look good. I also needed to atleast comp cut for when I go 4link and bigger tires. The chop top just gets to add to the whole caged/buggy look. Is this a better idea of how im going to do it? I will be adding new sides to it. When I do a 4link rear I need more wheel well so I can push the axle back 6-8 inches. There will be more sheet metal added around parts of the cage to add a barrier between the "bed" and the wheels. Once the metal starts going back on you'll see better. For now all I have is a sketch I took 15 seconds on it paint to show how the cage will run roughly.

Ok just an update since I haven't had any results to show in a few days. I had an accident while welding, and was told no welding for a few days. Should be doing some more work thursday or friday though. Picking up my pipe tomorrow or tuesday though.

I don't know how to weld. But people I know who do, have had the same issues with the darkening ones. They have the ones that just stay dark.

Yeah I gotta find my hood like that. I think my autodarkening one the lens is shot or something. Idk if the sunlight messed with it too or what, but I'll prolly get a new one.
