She actually has none on me. I have all the dirt on her. She just needed something more dependable, and hated her xj. I don;t think she deserves an xj period after that, but she liked mine. Once I can find some used fenders, flares, and bumper caps for it...it'll look better. I also like the older ones more, and there are more used parts for them. I also didn't see the point of cutting up that xj when I could cut up this one. Anyways this was my xj before I got the red one. So I know it was treated right.

So I started pulling out some of my interior this morning. I found something I was hoping not to....cancer (rust for the people who didn't catch that). Looks like there will be some extra work. Some of it is just surface, but a few spots its all the way through.

Some cleaning, and some killing. No it's not paint, its a rust killer. you clean it very well, then spray this stuff. It kills the rust, and primes it for paint. Call me Doctor Kenne now cause this cancer is going away!

Good work so far you are working fast. I am kind of tempted to do something similar to you and pick up a second xj that I don't mind cutting up and beating on a little a little harder to swap all my stuff onto and pretty much do what you are doing maybe an ls swap. I'll definitely be following your build thread.

Well I did a little more rust killing this morning. Have to take a break now cause I am cleaning up the house before my girl comes over, and do laundry. Also it's super windy which makes it hard to do some stuff cause the wind blows crap everywhere. I just have a little more to do in the back seat area, and then I am ready to bedline the floor.

Ok well patched some holes, and got it all in primer. I didn't get as much done as I wanted, but oh well whats new.
Yeah I had to put my seat in...I am driving it tomorrow cause I am going to the shop after work to cut my fenders...atleast the front ones.

Finally got around to finishing the bedliner. I will be doing a different one over it down the road though. Keeping the backseat out of the jeep for good.

Ok well I wanted to go doorless like I did on my red jeep. My buddy wanted the same thing so we did trial and error to see what worked best on his. Then I did mine today in about an hour. We made ours doors where they lift up and set on like wrangler doors do. Here is a write up on how to do this.
Tools used:
Torque bit and ratchet
Flat tip screwdriver
Hammer
Grinder
Sawzal
Vice grips
Tape measure
Drill with 17/64th drill bit
Steps:
1. Unscrew and unplug the door sensor to keep lights from coming on.
2. Unplug any wires running into door, and pull through.
3. We found it easiest to unbolt the door from the hinges after that.
4. Cut the bottom ear off the hinge.
5. Knock off with a hammer, and flat tip.
6. Pull hinge off.
7. Repeat for other 3 hinges.
8. Drill the pin hole on the jeep hinge out using the 17/64th drill bit. We did
this to make the doors slide in and out easier.
9. Measure 3/4" down on hinge pin and cut with grinder, the round edges
smooth.
10. Cut a notch in the bottom of the hinge plate under the pin.
11. Repeat for all hinges, and hinge plates.
12. Put hinges back on the doors, but don't tighten all the way.
13. Set doors on jeep.
14. Reshim door, and tighten up the bolts.
You can make wires easier to unplug by splicing in plugs so you don't have to remove kicker panel if you want. I am going manual doors so I didn't do this.

Dang I did a fairly detailed picture write up for the doors, and not one comment. Well anyways started the prep for the cutting of the back end tonight. Tomorrow I will start cutting.
