so considering im disliking my welded rear end much more then origionally anticipated my question now is can i just remove the entire carrier and toss a new carrier in with either stock spider gears or say an aussie? or will this mess up the gear set?

From what I understand you only need to reset the back lash which isn't very hard.

so like i mentioned i was in the market for another vehicle for a daily driver so i can focus this one to primarly off roading and only seeing road to n from the trails. well my friend was looking to sell her 93 grand cherokee with 212k on the clock, its a ZJ V8 and has some typical grand cherokee rust on the rear hatch n rocker panels like on the xjs as well. im picking it up this sat for a whopping $300 im beyond stoked to say the least here are a few pics.

I apologize I didnt mean to offend, your Jeep's name just reminded me of the comics from when I was younger. I thought you may get a kick out of them as your Jeep is similarly named. Some of them are pretty funny!
Again though, I didnt mean any harm.
Jake

PS I do like your jeep and enjoyed your thread! Thank you for sharing it with us! As far as the jealousy goes... I like my 96 and I love my blue... haha

so went to tighten my trac bar bolt today and realized my front passanger side upper control arm mount is about to break completely off. so it looks like ima havta now have my buddy reweld the mount back on before i can wheel the jeep again. first pic is looking at the mount from the front of the axle and the second is looking from the rear of the axle.
