So a few updates here. Builds been going slow between free time, finals, the girlfriend, and money. But the disc break conversion is about 95% done and my boy finally found some free time to weld on the winch chain hook and the D-ring tabs to my Rustys stinger bumper. Here are some pics, first the disc brake conversion then the bumper.

So with the holiday weekend I finally got some time to help my guy work on my jeep and speed the process up a bit. First up is just a picture with the header panel off of the engine fully bolted in after we wired up another electric fan, which will lead to a switch in the cab.

Next up is a picture of my guy installing the HD off road engineering shackle relocation brackets. We've already determined were gonna havta modify my tail pipe in order to run a full pipe with the brackets. Since we're also cutting and folding my rear lower quarters I figure well try n bend it outward right where the tailpipe first becomes Parallel to the gas can. What are people's opinions on this? Has anyone tried it? Here are some pics of the relocation brackets and what we have done so far to the drivers side rear quarter. (The piece of wood in last pic is just holding everything in place till it comes time to weld it in place)

Finally we made some brackets to bolt the brake line bracket too leading from my my rear brakes after the disc conversion. We bolted the brake bracket to the home made bracket which we then bolted onto my Ubolts. Here are some pics for visualization.

well its been awhile since iv updated this, long story short after having the motor completely built an installed it just wouldn't run right and we couldn't figure out why.. well after double checking everything that we had done we realized hey maybe, just maybe the block or head are the issue? ding ding ding we finally found a winner, the engine I built had bad cam bearings and blown piston rings. you may ask why I didn't have the head or block checked out before starting my build? they 4.0 I rebuilt ran perfect upon pulling it, and im lazy so i didn't think twice about having them checked. anyways i currently have a completely stock 4.0 installed in the jeep with only my APN header, 99+ intake and my bored throttle body installed just so i could drive and wheel the jeep while i get the block rebuilt, i picked up a 99 rebuild head with roughly 1200 miles on it from a guy who fell asleep at the wheel and side swiped a guard rail totaling his XJ. money is slow right now though since im back in school so it might take some time to have the block rebuilt and the head to be looked over. im sure i will be making some mods or upgrades before then but that's where i currently stand. will be at the great American jeep rally in CT this sat though if anyone wants to meet up.

Nice build. Any updates?
Searching for the Detours knucklebone led me here. Looks great! I'm struggling on whether I want the straight one like you have, or the angled one.

After that we realized I need to completely rebuild my front end, ball joints, wheel barrings, steering, trac bar, I went with the Rustys Over the Knuckle Heim Joint Steering with their Over the Axle Trac bar & Mount (during the install we painted my knuckles lime green to match my color scheme.) I also picked up one of the most longed for parts on any jeepers parts wish list an NV241OR transfer case fout of an 06 Rubincon, Sadly JB conversions is out of the Yokes need to run with my XJ driveshafts till july so I must wait for the install. I also picked up a set of HID bulbs and Black projector lenses to install on the XJ after I painted my Front grill jet black after adding clear side markers over the factory orange ones. And a kevins offroad tire carrier license plate bracket.

(HID's are not installed here in this last picture)

Parts I have since picked up or in the works of being made not pictured nor installed yet:
TNT middle and front section stiffeners
Ballistic Fan D30 Front truss
Custom rear bumper with tire carrier, kevins offroad themed tie in brackets, hi- lift mount, guards to protect my lower 1/4 area after the cut n fold and potentially custom back up lights
I'm probably forgetting something if so ill post it up.
