Yeah, That's a 35, my 91 had the same axle. But good news there are plenty of 8.25 axles out there and they won't break the bank. I already swapped in axles from an automatic XJ turned out very nice as I gained better gearing doing that. If you grab one try to get a axle from '96-'99 Auto and the drive shaft as there is a slight difference in the length of the pumpkin.

The 8.25 is plenty strong up to 33" but you may consider the Dana 44, Ford 8.8 or better if you go any taller with your tires.

Had it have been an 8.25, I would have made it work. Being that it's the 35 though, I see an 8.8 in its future... Now to convince the old lady she doesn't need the rear axle in her back up vehicle, a 2000 Ford Explorer.

I bought an 8.8 and was going to go that route (still plan to) but it was just to cheap and easy to take the axles from my sons XJ and swap them in. I am looking for a H.P. Dana 30 w/3.73 gears on the cheap and then I'll swap them in.
You can get a 8.8 with 4.10s in it if your patient and disc brakes. I wish I had waited.

After being in the Foxbody Mustang community for so long, I've got plenty of sources for 8.8 parts...lol A good friend of mine out in PA does some amazing work to those rear ends, I might hit him up next year before his annual pig roast.

Not much time to work on the Jeep with the holidays. Was workin on the old lady's truck and looked over on the shelf and saw this old Mustang intake. I figured what the hell, can't make the gas mileage any worse... Lol I'll eventually do a custom intake, but this is my 10 minute, spare part, it's cold as hell outside mod.

So I have an MSD6AL laying around, how well do these motors respond to better spark?

Did a quick vin check. Discovered I, in fact, have a Limited Cherokee. Which means those are the stock seats if I'm not mistaken.

Changed the oil this weekend. Went with Rotella 15W30. Significant increase in oil pressure. Now I have 40 psi at idle and 65 psi at speed.
