Buddy told me he spotted a Cherokee up here that liked my paint job enough he decided he wanted the exact same colors... Soooo it's come to my attention it's time to step it up a bit more, because well I like my vehicles to stand out! Gonna rhino line the bottom half of the heep and spray the top half a nice bright orange! Ok, maybe I just really wanted something different haha! Motor should be in this week... It's been toooo long but I've got most of the week off so it's time to bust it out

 

Was just thinking about your build bud. I would have left the wheels though instead of painting them. Don't take it as you want your jeep to stand out. Think of it as your jeep was an inspiration to others.

 

I thought about leaving em, but I kinda like it haha it's different! And that's one way to put it for sure. Might keep it blue just gotta see how I like it once I get the motor in and can drive it to a place that actually has a pressure washer haha

 

Kinda playing catch up now... But I did swap distributors to keep the connections the same. Gotta swap over a few of the newer electronics off the HO onto the ol renix motor so I don't have to splice wires.. Also found another chopped Cherokee that's set up exactly how I would like mine, just street legal haha!

 

That's a sweet jeep on the trailer. Looks like its strictly a play toy though

 

Very much so haha! The owner plays the guitar at the church I go to.. He's got some sweet rigs haha! I believe he's got a 40s or so GMC flatbed with a 4bt dropped in it

 

Are you in ER? I think i've seen you around Fred Meyer/Walmart.

A lil sneak peak into the new colors on the heep. Also got the intake, manifold, fan clutch bracket, and made a start on getting the alternator pulled. Old block should be out tomorrow

 

Orange looks good. I need to finish painting mine tan but I'm too lazy to mask it off

Agreed, the new paint scheme is MUCH better than the old, IMHO.

The old paint looked like a baby shower threw up on it, LOL...but I am also partial to orange, the right shade of orange looks awesome. Much better.

 

I'll try and get one up after I drop the new motor in! Have half of it painted currently due to the motor getting my attention haha

 

Made a good effort towards getting the motor out today, but got hung up on some stubborn bolts hiding at the top of the trans.. Gonna try again tomorrow to break em loose with a socket and a bunch of extensions... We'll see how it goes!
