Soooo the clutch finally went out on the heep and since I gotta swap the motor soon and to do so I have to pull the front end, I decided to start the front bumper. It'll need some bracing in order to handle a winch, but until then it'll make a functioning front bumper

Tear down begins tonight. Got the exhaust disconnected from the manifold, just gotta drain the fluids and pull the pan for the new motor. Then tear down the front to make pulling out the motor go a lot smoother. Having a buddy help my fab up some headers and later a full exhaust, then I just gotta buy a clutch set and one last gasket and the new heart will be ready to drop

Front end torn apart, just gotta work on disconnecting parts needed for the new motor and to help make pulling a lil easier on myself. Should be up and running in no time

Finally got around to takin all the oil off all of the front end components and painted em. Then tied in some tubing from the bumper to a hefty piece of angle iron that runs from frame rail to frame rail below the existing piece. Hopefully have the motor in this weekend if I can get the rest of the parts I need

Ordered a set of fully adjustable long travel coil overs for the rear. After the lift goes on, the back seats coming out to make a shock cage mount in the back

Are you going 4 link in the rear? That's really the only way I see coilovers benefiting in the rear is with a link setup instead of leafs

Eventually that's the plan. Once I swap up to 3/4 tons, it'll be 3 linked front and 4 link in the rear. But until then, they'll benefit the heeps body roll from not having sway bars since they are adjustable. Might even see if I can't find a set of deaver leafs for it too. Idk we'll see how it all goes

Soft leaf springs contribute a lot to body roll. Consider BDS leafs, they are 7 leaf with double main leaf. Not to be used with coilovers however.

As I'm sure ya know and most haha, the oem leafs sag quick haha! That makes sense as to the extra body roll. A blown rear shock doesn't help too much either haha! I'll have to look into em tho, ideally the plan is to swap a 44/9 with full discs and run a 3 link front 4 link rear on 37s. But until then a decent set of leafs would come in handy. Thanks!

Now that I'm waiting on money again, after finding that my manifold was cracked... I decided to hook up the rock lights I had laying around. Just waiting on pay day so I can get what I need to throw some headers on the heep and get the new motor in! Much slower process than I had hoped, but I'm on very limited time between work and having money to work on it.. Hopefully soon! Having withdrawls

I love em! Not quite the setup I had on my old truck.. (20 of the little single LEDs all over) but it'll do great for what I need! They come in pretty handy when you have to tie a shoe in the dark
