Down to the last 2 bolts holding in the motor.. Having to get a lil creative as the top 2 bolts are hanging on for dear life.. Also a side shot of the half that's painted for those that asked!

Looks good man. Just take your time and all will be good. Those top two trans bolts are way easier to get to if you take the cyl head off. (Weapon of last resort)

I think my pops got it haha I had to leave for work so he figured he'd get it out so I can get the hoist to my friend
Old motor finally out.. New slave cylinder and clutch kit installed and got the motor almost all the way in.. Just wrestling the alignment and motor mounts now! Should be done tomorrow or Sunday at the latest
So after 2 days of messing with it.. Found out that the pilot bearing is the wrong size... Makes the binding seem more fitting! just gotta get the old bearing out.. Hopefully we can find the right tool for the job because the grease trick wasn't quite working...
Also managed to mount the hilift... Still need to finish off the paint and bondo work, but gotta getr back on the road first
I have my hi lift mounted with two bolts also. Father son projects are the best. I once built a Cherokee from the ground up with my dad and to this day I regret selling that jeep

Cheap removal for you but it will involve a little patience. (Even easier if flywheel is out) The pilot bearing is small and thin metal, so take a good chisel and hammer, and "split" the side of the bearing (where it looks like a C) now do the other side. The two halves can now be removed with a large flat screwdriver or pliers.

Now there's an idea! I'll have to try that out if the tool he has coming to Napa doesn't work! Thanks!!

He generally helps me with the heavy lifting stuff haha! He just doesn't understand how I can drop so much money on cars... Lol but it's what I love to do and definitely better than the alternatives!!
