Didn't get around to getting the fenders on, but she's 90% done! Got a new pickup coil coming in tomorrow, so fingers crossed that she'll finally roll over. If not its onto the cps. Once she's started I just gotta adjust the clutch pedal and she's good to go

Completely swapped the distributor... And still nothing
it does however sound like it wants to start, so I'm gonna try replacing the cps and see what we get from there.. Fingers crossed! On a side note, lift has shipped along with the 50" light bar and windshield mounting brackets

You narrowed down to NO spark. So now we look at the Crankshaft Position Sensor. This sensor sends the signal to the Ignition Control Module (ICM. Note: on H.O. models, the ICM was part of the ECU) for SPARK timing/control.
Its a learning experience for sure man.

Your still learning the Xj system so lets review a few sensors and their functions for future reference. Inside the distributor there is a sensor. This is the Camshaft Position Sensor, also called a Sync Sensor. This sensor is what sends the signal for injector timing/firing (fuel).

Now I'm stuck... New distributor, wires, plugs, ignition coil, and crank position sensor. It cranks and is getting fuel but still won't start.. The throttle opens up on start up to suck in air for a split second every now and then.. Maybe not enough juice in the battery?
Edit:
Did a lil digging and found that the grounds might not be getting good connections. And this would make some sense because I did paint the motor... Gonna try cleaning it all up tomorrow and see.. Battery was only reading 9v so I might have to jump it and buy a new battery once I know it's running

For my own sanity I threw together a list of what I can remember has been done to the heep and a list of plans I would like to accomplish with the build. May be a long road coming, but hopefully I can get it done!

putting all the ideas to paper helps, I do it all the time. Sketches and everything. Otherwise I'm up all night thinking

It really does help! Especially visuals, they really help tie your ideas together and give you something to build towards.. It sucks cause half the time I have these overall ideas set, but end up finding things I need as I go along haha

I know how that is haha!! Mines coming up on about a month... But when it's out of the garage finally it's gonna be turning some heads for a few days before she goes back in to throw on the long arm kit 😁
